田中靖彦プロフィール／ Yasu Tanaka Profile
東京出身。９３年カリフォルニア州立大学ノースリッジ校テレビ・フィルム学科卒業。在学中短編映画「Embolism」「Kellene」、長編「Petra」等を製作、監督。カリフォルニア・メディア・フェスティバル１位、日本映像フェスティバル金賞および銀賞と様々な賞を受賞。９６~９８年コロンビア・カレッジで更に映画プロダクションを学ぶ。卒業後ハリウッドの製作会社Sheen Production、Shower Production などで映画の企画、脚本をデベロップするインハウス・ライターとして活躍。またTV製作会社コスモ・スペースでは、番組コーディネーターをはじめ監督、カメラ、編集などで数々のTVプログラムを手がける。かつてはフィギュア・スケートのオリンピック強化選手。０４年０５年にはディズニー・オン・アイス「美女と野獣」に出演するプロ・スケーターとして世界１４カ国をツアーでまわる。現在は日米に加え、アジア諸国を又にかけて脚本講習を実施中。マレーシア政府機関FINAS のもとで、グローバル市場をターゲットにした脚本のデベロップ、自社42nd Picturesで製作も手がけている。脚本家としての主な作品に 「Transit」「Ice Show」「Seamless: Kidz Rule」「Fame on Ice」
Yasu Tanaka is currently teaching Hollywood Storytelling Scriptwriting Lectures in Japan. He also teaches scriptwriting classes in Los Angeles and Asian countires. He has been signed on as Script Analyst & Consultant by Marza Animation Planet (Japan), Warner Brothers (Japan) and FINAS (Malaysia). He grew up in Tokyo and now resides in Los Angeles. His passion for life and writing makes him an active instructor, traveling to different countries to share his knowledge and experience with fellow writers so as to help the film industry move into the competitive global market.
